Read This When You Want to Give Up: Motivation for Entrepreneurs

Burn out.

Exhaustion.

Why isn’t this working?

Maybe I’m not good enough…

Those are all feelings and thoughts that run through our head – as mothers,
entrepreneurs and just as human beings!

Don’t get caught up in noise and think you’re less than or different – because we all feel this way at different times.

What is important to remember during these times is DO NOT GIVE UP!

That is the best piece of advice you need to remind yourself when you are feeling like you have nothing left in you ….DON’T GIVE UP – DO NOT.

So often – right as someone is about to give up – THAT is exactly when the magic
is about to happen.

Remember this:

When you don’t think you can take it anymore – more often than not, that is when the light at the end of the tunnel will start to illuminate itself.

I recent read the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill (which is an absolutely fantastic book).

In the book Hill tells a story that completely changed my business mindset.

It’s about a man back in the 1840s during the gold rush. He went out to California and spent all his money on the nicest equipment in order to find tons and tons of gold. He spent months searching for gold – but found nothing.

After a couple of months of hard work, he quit. He gave all his equipment to a young man in town, then packed up and left. The young man went out to where the man was digging and started to dig himself. Within 3 feet of digging, he struck gold – tons of it…..

So the man was ONLY three feet from finding all the riches before he gave up.

DO NOT GIVE UP!

I have my own ‘3 feet from gold’ story.

I started blogging last year. I love to write but thought it would also be cool
to maybe make a little bit of money while doing it. I told myself to stick with
it for 6 months and DO NOT GIVE UP.

Month 5 came and I was over it – I couldn’t push myself to do anymore – I was burnt out. I didn’t blog at all in month 5.

Then came month 6 – I told myself I needed to practice what I preach and stick with it. I blogged every week in month 6 and guess what > I made not only my first dollar from blogging but I made a total of $600 and continue to make money now!

This would have NEVER happened if I would have given up in month 5 like I wanted to do. I was ready to quit right before hitting success!

To be successful you cannot give up when it gets tough. When everything seems like it’s failing, when you start to doubt your ability – find the strength to keep going.

Find Your Strength to Keep Going By:

  • 1. Turn to your support system, the people that know you best and can give you a boost of confidence and maybe recommend what you can do to avoid the burnout.

  • 2. Remind yourself of your ‘why’. Why did you start this journey in the first place? Write it down on a piece of paper and put it somewhere in your workspace.

  • 3. And lastly, remind yourself you are good enough! You are good enough! You are talented and you have the skills necessary to succeed!

You can do this! Just do not give up when it gets hard or I promise you will not be successful!
